MUSEO DE LA HUERTA

Te we propose a complete immersion in the history and culture of the Huerta de Murcia. We will visit the Main or Contraparada Dam, which is a dam built between the 9th and 10th centuries, which distributes water from the Segura River throughout the so-called Huerta de Murcia, and is declared a Site of Cultural Interest in 2002, we will also visit the Museum of the Huerta that was born in 1968 as a study of the ethnology of the Huerta Murciana, and that includes 6 main elements: Las Barracas and Huerta Huerta, the Wheel or ancestral Ferris Wheel, the Museum itself, with costumes, utensils, ceramics, various objects, the hydrology with ditches, bracers, etc..and their gardens with the surroundings carefully cared for.

TASTING TYPICAL PRODUCTS

To complement this tour, we will make a stop to taste one of the most typical products of the Region of Murcia, our classic coffee of puchero and a paparajote. It is a typical dessert of the Murcian garden, made with lemon leaves covered with a dough made basically with flour and egg, which are fried and sprinkled with powdered sugar and cinnamon.
